Gosh I’ve been a busy little bee! I am completely cream crackered! It’s a bit of a struggle to remember everything but I will do my best to fill you in on the highlights.
We spent a few days in cusco before the inca trail. Supposedly relaxing and resting but as per usual we ended up walking around for miles and miles. The historic centre of cusco is really nice. It feels like it’s just a small town within a city. The only let down is that you cannot walk two steps in the centre without being hassled by someone to buy something. Obviously I understand they are just doing their jobs but after 4 days of it, it was driving me nuts! We had a guy selling paintings which Luke showed some interest in so he followed us for about an hour. He even sat outside a cafe An Email Home, Cusco and the Inca Trail

 Hola,
We finally arrived in la Paz after a bus trip which ended up being 23 hours instead of 10. We spent a couple of days exploring la paz. We had booked a tour of the worlds most dangerous road on the Saturday. We got to the office at 7.15am as arranged. We waited and waited and nobody arrived. All sorts of things were going through our heads about it being a scam. Finally the other couple gave up hope and left at 8.45 so we thought we would go too. When they finally opened the office at about 11am we were waiting for them. The had 650 Bolivianos of our money! It turns out that our guide had a bike accident in the way to meet us. Probably a good thing he never made it to work. If he can’t ride his bike to work how is he An email Home, La Paz to Cusco

Wow! Best £120 pounds I have ever spent! Bolivia is spectacular! The views were so serial and seemed to change around every corner and over every hill. I can’t very easily put into words the amazing scenery we have seen over the last few days so I will keep the writing brief and try and attach some photos. After speaking to many people we opted to do the 4 day tour from Tupiza to Uyuni (Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid territory for those of you that have seen it). This basically means that we saw all the beautiful scenery in the south of Bolivia leading up to the final day visiting the salt flats. After much deliberation between two companies, la torre and Tupiza tours, we chose Tupiza tours due to their glowing reviews.
The route is identical but Tupiza tours were that little bit more professional. No Salt Flats and Southern Bolivia

So we made it across the border to Bolivia and on the train to Santa Cruz. You know how in the UK trains occassionally sway fro side to side?! Well this one did continously for 12 hours! What I cant understand though is how a train manages to be bumpy?! Anyway that was first class so we are very glad we didt take the ´Death train´ which takes twice as long and has no aircon. When I woke in the morning we were going through little villages. People were mostly just going about their day. The children were walking to school. I often see little children, only 4 or 5 years old walking themselves to school, no parents. Some people stopped what they were doing to watch the train go by. I saw a whoe family stop and stare at the train from there garden. Their tiny little houses/sheds Bolivia so Far ….

So we are on another night bus. This one is not quite as nice as the last one (which was better than business class on a plane). At least this one should help to ease us in gently to the transport in Bolivia. Anyway so the last few days…
We arrived in puerto iguazu after it taking about an hour and a half to get across the border. Not because its difficult to cross the border at all but because the driver stopped for a break, even though we were less than a mile from the bus station??? We dumped our bags in the hostel and headed out into the town to find food. It was siesta time so it was like a ghost town. Later that evening we went for a walk around town and it was buzzing! It must have been 8-9pm and all the shops were Puerto Iguazu and Foz do Iguacu
