Surrounded by bloggers in the amazon has made me realise, I just need to write something. For whatever reason, and their have been quite a few I have not been writing as much as I would like. The main reason for this is my lack of a laptop. It’s not that south America has a shortage of Internet cafe’s it’s just that you have to plan to go to one and be in the mood to write, something that does not come easy to me. Even if I write a couple of hundred words a day it’s going to get me started.
I am currently on a 30 minute boat ride from our lodgings at the amazon cares rescue centre heading to Iquitos. I don’t have a clear Idea of what the day holds and for once it’s not because I haven’t been listening. Whether it’s the more laid The inspiration to really blog

Wow! Best £120 pounds I have ever spent! Bolivia is spectacular! The views were so serial and seemed to change around every corner and over every hill. I can’t very easily put into words the amazing scenery we have seen over the last few days so I will keep the writing brief and try and attach some photos. After speaking to many people we opted to do the 4 day tour from Tupiza to Uyuni (Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid territory for those of you that have seen it). This basically means that we saw all the beautiful scenery in the south of Bolivia leading up to the final day visiting the salt flats. After much deliberation between two companies, la torre and Tupiza tours, we chose Tupiza tours due to their glowing reviews.
The route is identical but Tupiza tours were that little bit more professional. No Salt Flats and Southern Bolivia

So we made it across the border to Bolivia and on the train to Santa Cruz. You know how in the UK trains occassionally sway fro side to side?! Well this one did continously for 12 hours! What I cant understand though is how a train manages to be bumpy?! Anyway that was first class so we are very glad we didt take the ´Death train´ which takes twice as long and has no aircon. When I woke in the morning we were going through little villages. People were mostly just going about their day. The children were walking to school. I often see little children, only 4 or 5 years old walking themselves to school, no parents. Some people stopped what they were doing to watch the train go by. I saw a whoe family stop and stare at the train from there garden. Their tiny little houses/sheds Bolivia so Far ….

Hello Again,
So this week has been a bit of a hectic one. Well at least it feels like it, we are both shattered. We arrived in campo grande a week ago and decided to spend a day taking advantage of the free computers, uploading all of our photos. We went out to get lunch and ended up in a Brazilian families living room/cafe eating beans, boiled rice, scrambled egg and raw cabbage?! It was an interesting experience but it only cost 12 reals so about 4 pounds, for both of us.
On wednesday we set off on our pantanal tour with ecological expeditions (not recommended!). We were told it was a 4 hour bus journey but in actual fact it took us 7 hours to get to camp. We had been sold private camping which turned out to be a shack with about 10 other people. Oh and Pantanal and Bonito

We arrived in bonito after a private transfer organised by ecological expeditions from the pantanal with new short term travel friends nic and Olly. At some point in the future I will follow up a post I wrote along time ago about the people you meet travelling, can’t even remember what I said now. Although I do not want to go into to much detail about the people I meet I like to mention them as this is to remind me in the future. Nick and Olly where great and although did not stay in the same hostel on bonito had drinks and did activities together. Thanks for a fun and entertaining few days.
After the tour of the pantanal we just wanted to takes some time to recover and cill out. Hostel bonito is part of hosteling international and is the best place to if your visiting bonito Bonito, fish and crystal clear water
